Teachers and Parents
Tell your class, or your child, the soil in the playground's garden boxes has been tested for lead.
 
 Lead is a poison that can hurt our brains and other parts of our bodies.
 
The soil in our garden boxes is safe.  It does not contain lead.
 
Dr. Alexander Wooten tested the soil.  He is an environmental scientist. He helps protect our environment.
 
Dr. Wooten used a science technology device called an XRF Analyzer to test the soil for lead.

Teachers and Parents
On the playground, introduce your class, or your child, to the garden boxes.  Let them know this is where they will plant vegetables and flowers.  How many garden boxes are there?  Count them.  (There are 8 garden boxes.)
